APC and Pensioners Union Endorse President Bola Tinubu for Re-election
The All Progressives Congress and the Nigeria Union of Pensioners launched coordinated efforts to secure President Bola Tinubu's re-election in the 2027 general elections.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP) have initiated early mobilization and endorsement campaigns to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's bid for a second term in the 2027 general elections. These coordinated efforts target both domestic labor interests and the Nigerian diaspora.
In Abuja, the NUP officially endorsed the president, with National President Mazi Godwin Abumisi urging millions of pensioners to vote for Tinubu. Abumisi attributed the endorsement to the administration's approval of pension increases and the payment of accrued entitlements, describing these moves as a significant gesture of goodwill.
Simultaneously, the APC held a diaspora mobilization program in Uxbridge, London. During the event, party officials urged Nigerians residing in the United Kingdom to support the Renewed Hope Agenda. Tai Balofin, Special Adviser on Diaspora Coordination and Mobilisation to the APC National Chairman, called on Nigerians abroad to deepen grassroots engagement and act as ambassadors for the administration to ensure the continuation of its reforms.
