Armenia Holds High-Level Peace and Trade Talks in New York

Nikol Pashinyan and other Armenian officials conducted a series of diplomatic meetings in New York during the United Nations General Assembly to advance regional stability and economic ties. Prime Minister Pashinyan met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on September 24 to discuss the implementation of joint projects and the expansion of bilateral trade and economic relations.

Following these talks, Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Ararat Mirzoyan met with Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov on Thursday. The ministers reviewed progress made since the 2025 Washington Peace Summit Agreements and focused on unblocking economic and transport infrastructure. Both officials identified trade and transit interactions as practical evidence of the benefits of peace.

Across both sets of discussions, the leaders emphasized the necessity of ensuring peace and stability within the region. Mirzoyan and Bayramov agreed to maintain direct dialogue and promote a positive agenda across various multilateral platforms.
