Indian Authorities Hold Tiranga Rallies Ahead of Independence Day
District administrations in Andhra Pradesh and New Delhi organized national flag rallies to promote the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign before India's 80th Independence Day.
Government authorities in Andhra Pradesh and New Delhi conducted large-scale public rallies on August 13 and 14, 2026, to promote the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign ahead of India's 80th Independence Day. The initiative encourages citizens to display the national flag at their homes to foster a personal connection with the symbol of independence.
In the NTR district of Andhra Pradesh, Lakshmisha G, the District Collector, led a mega rally from the District Collector's office to Indira Gandhi Stadium. The event featured students and youth carrying the Tricolour. Lakshmisha G stated the rally aimed to motivate citizens to work toward the goal of India becoming a developed country by its 100th year of independence.
Following this, the Delhi Police's New Delhi Zone organized a Tiranga Rally on August 14. The procession involved 25 mobile patrol vehicles and motorcycles traveling from Vijay Chowk to India Gate. Assistant Commissioner of Police Kharak Singh Rawat noted that the event aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's message to raise public awareness and promote a collective commitment to nation-building as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.
