Trump Installs MMA Cage at White House for 250th Anniversary

President Donald Trump installed a combat cage at the White House and formed Freedom 250 to personalize the United States 250th anniversary celebrations.

Donald Trump installed a large, claw-like combat stage on the White House grounds to host mixed martial arts battles as part of the United States 250th birthday celebrations. To make room for the installation, the president oversaw the removal of the East Wing and the destruction of the Rose Garden. Trump compared the combat cage to the Eiffel Tower and indicated he may never remove the structure. He is planning a UFC fight on the South Lawn for June 14 to coincide with his 80th birthday.

Beyond the physical modifications to the White House, the president established Freedom 250 to manage anniversary festivities, effectively bypassing the congressionally created America250 organization. Trump integrated his own branding into the national commemorations, placing his image on commemorative passports, national park service passes, and anniversary gold coins. Reports also indicate efforts to place his likeness on a new $250 bill.

Following the withdrawal of musical artists from scheduled concerts due to the partisan nature of the events, Trump criticized the performers on Truth Social. He suggested replacing the professional musical acts with a large Make America Great Again rally.
