BJP Accuses Rahul Gandhi of Assaulting Pregnant Journalist

The Bharatiya Janata Party alleges that Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, manhandled a woman journalist during a protest in New Delhi on October 12. BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari claimed Gandhi shoved the journalist with his elbow and grabbed her, causing her to fall and sustain injuries that required hospitalization.

BJP Delhi State Vice President Rajesh Bhatia stated that the journalist was pregnant at the time of the incident. Following the event, BJP leaders including MLA Umang Bajaj visited the journalist in the hospital to condemn the conduct. Party officials argued that the alleged assault contradicts Gandhi's public rhetoric regarding the empowerment and respect of women.
