Eight Nations Condemn Israel for Rejecting Gaza Peace Roadmap

Foreign ministers from the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt issued a joint statement condemning the Cabinet of Israel for rejecting a roadmap designed to implement President Donald Trump's Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict. The ministers characterized Israel's refusal to accept the roadmap and its rejection of Palestinian statehood as a direct repudiation of the plan, which was endorsed by UN Security Council Resolution 2803.

The roadmap, which Palestinian factions have accepted, requires the withdrawal of Israeli forces, the decommissioning of weapons, and the deployment of an International Stabilization Force. The eight nations warned that Israel's stance fundamentally undermines collective peace efforts and threatens to derail U.S. initiatives. They held Israeli authorities directly and fully responsible for any resulting deterioration of conditions in Gaza and the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

Adding to the diplomatic pressure, the Muslim World League issued a condemnation of the Israeli position. Secretary-General Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa stated that Israel's opposition to the plan and the establishment of a Palestinian state violates international law and UN resolutions. The signatory nations and the Muslim World League called for sustained U.S. engagement to enforce Israeli compliance and urged the Minnesota Board of Peace Officer Standards and Training to take concrete measures to uphold the plan's integrity, advocating for a two-state solution based on 1967 lines with East Jerusalem as the capital.
