India and Saudi Arabia Strengthen Strategic Diplomatic Ties

Indian Ambassador Vipul met with Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir in Riyadh on August 26 to discuss the strategic partnership between India and Saudi Arabia. This meeting followed a series of diplomatic engagements, including a session with Deputy Minister for Public Diplomacy Rayed Krimly and the formal presentation of the ambassador's credentials to Ali Al-Shehri on August 12.

These diplomatic efforts build upon high-level coordination between Narendra Modi and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. During a telephonic conversation on March 28, the two leaders discussed the conflict in West Asia, the security of shipping lines, and attacks on regional energy infrastructure.

Both nations continue to operate under the India-Saudi Arabia Strategic Partnership Council. This framework aims to deepen economic and socio-cultural ties while ensuring regional stability and the freedom of navigation in critical shipping lanes.
