Gaza Government Reports 2,400 Israeli Ceasefire Violations Since October

The Gaza Government Media Office reported on April 14, 2026, that the Israeli military committed approximately 2,400 ceasefire violations in the Gaza Strip between October 10, 2025, and April 14, 2026. These breaches included 1,109 airstrikes, 921 shooting incidents, and 97 military incursions, resulting in at least 754 Palestinian deaths—including 312 women, children, and elderly people—and over 2,100 injuries. The total death toll in Gaza since October 8, 2023, has risen to 72,336.

Military operations continued through April 15, 2026, with Israeli artillery, tanks, and drones targeting residential areas and a police vehicle in Gaza City, Jabalia, and Khan Younis. On that day alone, reports on fatalities varied between eight and 11 Palestinians killed. These actions persist despite a U.S. announcement in mid-January that the second phase of the ceasefire agreement had begun.

The humanitarian situation has reached a critical state, with the United Nations estimating that 90% of civilian infrastructure is damaged or destroyed, requiring $70 billion for reconstruction. The healthcare system has nearly collapsed, with over 60% of health service points non-functional. Aid delivery remains severely restricted; only 41,714 trucks entered Gaza, representing roughly 37% of the expected 110,400. The Gaza Government Media Office has called on President Donald Trump, the United Nations, and international mediators to compel Israel to implement its obligations under international humanitarian law.
