Nvidia Invests $3 Billion in Meta to Develop Muse AI

Nvidia and Meta Platforms are expanding their partnership to develop the Muse AI assistant, supported by a $3 billion investment from Nvidia into Meta.

Nvidia Corporation and Meta Platforms are expanding their artificial intelligence partnership to develop the Muse AI assistant and its accompanying family of models. As part of the agreement, Nvidia will invest $3 billion in Meta's equity offering. Meta is currently raising between $95 billion and $97.5 billion through stock offerings to fund its broader AI infrastructure.

To support the next generation of AI agents, Meta will increase its deployment of Nvidia hardware, specifically Vera Rubin and Vera CPUs, Spectrum-X Ethernet networking, and BlueField-4. The two companies are also collaborating on the Nvidia Sentry system for monitoring agent behavior and the Nvidia OpenShell Reference Architecture to ensure safe deployment.

Jensen Huang described AI agents as a new computing paradigm consisting of software that understands goals, reasons, and uses tools to complete work. The resulting Muse assistant is designed to integrate with users' calendars, emails, and smart-home applications to provide personal superintelligence to Meta's global user base.
