President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has constituted a 223-member All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council to coordinate his re-election bid for the January 2027 presidential elections. Tinubu serves as the council's chairman, with Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda appointed as vice chairmen.

Senator Abdulaziz Yari, the former governor of Zamfara State, will serve as Director-General to manage day-to-day activities, while Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma was named secretary. Tinubu directed the council to center the campaign on the administration's economic record, asserting that the government has delivered on its promises and set the country on a path of economic progress. APC chieftain Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi praised the appointments, stating that the caliber of the council members would make the 2027 election an easy win for the party and urging stakeholders to provide maximum cooperation to Senator Yari's leadership.
