Governor Okpebholo Targets 2.5 Million Votes for President Tinubu
Governor Monday Okpebholo is mobilizing the All Progressives Congress in Edo State to secure 2.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.
Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has launched a mobilization campaign across Edo State to secure 2.5 million votes for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the January 2027 general elections. During visits to the Egor and Oredo Local Government Areas, Okpebholo pledged to fulfill his administration's mandate for state development and addressed the repair of bad roads inherited from previous governments.
The campaign expanded to the Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area, specifically Ologbo Wards 9 and 10, where Okpebholo presented the party's candidates for the Senate, House of Representatives, and House of Assembly. These candidates include Ogbeide Ihama, Felix Igbinovia, and Clement Ikponmwonsa. Okpebholo emphasized that the All Progressives Congress has established a strong structure across the state and urged party members to remain united to ensure victory.
Edo APC Chairman Jarrett Tenebe confirmed that mobilization efforts are underway across all 18 local government areas to reach the 2.5 million vote target. Tenebe described the goal as achievable, citing previous success in local government elections. Local APC chairman Sunny Ogbewe added that Ikpoba-Okha, which has one of the highest numbers of registered voters in the state, would secure substantial votes for the party.
