Zelenskyy Announces Receipt of Patriot and Crotale Missiles

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced Tuesday that Ukraine has received a small number of Patriot interceptor missiles, AIM missiles, and several Crotale air defense systems. Speaking at a press conference in Kyiv with Estonian President Alar Karis, Zelenskyy stated that while these deliveries are important for shooting down enemy missiles, the country requires significantly more supplies.

The announcement follows weeks of criticism from Zelenskyy regarding Western allies' failure to honor delivery pledges. He previously estimated that Russia could produce 100 ballistic missiles per month and stated that Ukraine urgently needs between 300 and 360 Patriot missiles for a winter package.

Beyond air defense, Ukraine received defense packages from Lithuania and Finland, an energy package from Germany, and a financial package from Sweden to fund drone production. Norway confirmed 9 billion euros in funding for 2027 and signed a drone deal with Ukraine, while Germany and Belgium provided support for veteran policy.
