Iran Threatens New Military Tech and Hormuz Blockade

The Government of Iran has issued a series of military and diplomatic warnings to the United States, asserting that any renewed aggression will be met with advanced military technologies. Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, spokesperson for the Iranian Armed Forces, stated that domestic defense production has made Iran's missiles and drones more powerful than in previous conflicts, emphasizing a strategy of asymmetric warfare and secrecy to ensure surprise attacks.

Simultaneously, Iranian military leaders warned of a critical escalation. Army Spokesperson Mohammad Akraminia stated that the armed forces are fully prepared for a confrontation, while Army Commander-in-Chief Amir Hatami described the current conflict as decisive. Hatami specifically threatened to maintain the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, characterizing the waterway as a logistical chokepoint that will not be open while the Iranian people are deprived of trade.

On the diplomatic front, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced at the 81st United Nations General Assembly that reopening the Strait of Hormuz depends on conditions set by the Supreme National Security Council. Araghchi noted that Tehran is awaiting a clear official response from the U.S. president regarding diplomatic proposals sent via mediators, citing previous contradictory statements from Washington.
