Anastasios Angelopoulos, CEO of Arena, reports that companies are hesitant to rely solely on frontier labs such as OpenAI and Anthropic due to fears that these providers could disable access for safety reasons or impose restrictive safeguards. Simultaneously, cost-effective Chinese models from providers like DeepSeek and Moonshot face potential security risks and the threat of bans by the Trump administration.

Adding to these concerns, Palantir CEO Alex Karp warned that frontier AI labs may attempt to colonize enterprises to acquire intellectual property.
