Trump Vows to Seize Strait of Hormuz Amid Iranian Blockade

A coordinated war launched by the United States and Israel on February 28, 2026, has entered its sixth month following the assassination of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and other top Iranian commanders. In response, Donald Trump has faced a strategic blockade of the Strait of Hormuz by Iran, which has disrupted global oil trade and driven U.S. gasoline prices up by 38%.
