Obiageli Okwubanego Appointed to Lead Tinubu Re-election Mobilization
Obiageli Okwubanego joined the Iyaloja-General Movement for Renewed Hope Alliance to lead grassroots mobilization for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's 2027 re-election campaign.
Chief Obiageli Okwubanego was appointed National General Secretary of the Iyaloja-General Movement for Renewed Hope Alliance (IGM) on October 22, 2026. The appointment was made by the Iyaloja-General of Nigeria, Chief Dr. Mujidat Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, to drive support for the 2027 re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Okwubanego pledged to lead extensive grassroots mobilization by engaging directly with market leaders, traders, women's groups, and community stakeholders. Her immediate objectives include improving administrative efficiency at the national secretariat and establishing communication channels across national, state, and grassroots levels.
In addition to her new role, Okwubanego serves as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Anambra State on Tax and Investment Mobilisation. She will collaborate with National Director-General Dr. Nasiru Ladan and the National Working Committee to develop a cohesive national structure for the movement.
