Himanta Biswa Sarma Leads Assam Birthday Celebrations for Narendra Modi

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma led state-wide celebrations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday on September 17, 2026. During a Facebook live session, Sarma appealed to the citizens of Assam to light earthen lamps at homes, temples, namghars, and various institutions, including medical colleges and development projects initiated by the Prime Minister.

Sarma further extended his greetings through a video message recorded at the Kumar Bhaskar Varma Setu in Guwahati. In social media posts, he praised Modi's commitment to good governance and nation-building, specifically highlighting the vision to establish India as a "Vishwaguru."
