US Treasury Creates Mock-ups for $250 Donald Trump Bill
The United States Treasury prepared internal designs for a $250 bill featuring Donald Trump to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States.
The United States Department of the Treasury has developed internal mock-ups for a new $250 denomination bill featuring the portrait and signature of Donald Trump. The proposed currency is intended to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States and includes a specific anniversary logo.
British artist Iain Alexander created the design for the bill. Despite the existence of these mock-ups, the currency cannot be legally printed under current statutes. Existing law requires that any individual appearing on U.S. currency must be deceased.
For the $250 bill to move toward production, the United States Congress would need to pass legislation changing the current requirements for figures featured on national currency.
