Donald Tusk to Visit India with 100-Company Delegation

Prime Minister Donald Tusk will visit India in late October to expand economic ties in defense and space sectors and position Poland as a European investment hub.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk will visit New Delhi and Bengaluru in late October, leading a delegation of nearly 100 Polish companies. The mission aims to expand economic cooperation in the defense, space, machinery, and food processing sectors, while positioning Poland as a strategic hub for Indian investments into the European Union market.

Polish Minister of Finance and Economy Andrzej Domaski announced the visit during the G20 Trade Ministers' Meeting in Milwaukee following discussions with Indian Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal. The engagement builds on a Strategic Partnership and a five-year action plan established during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Warsaw in August 2024. Domaski noted that Poland intends to double its investments in the space industry and increase the export of defense products to India.

During the G20 forum, Domaski also advocated for Poland's membership in the G20, citing the country's status as the fastest-growing large European economy with an expected growth rate of 3.5 to 3.6 percent this year. He acknowledged that while Poland is seeking support from member states, Russia is unlikely to back the application.
