Nicki Minaj and Kathy Hochul Clash Before NY Election

Rapper Nicki Minaj urged voters to reject New York Governor Kathy Hochul, who dismissed the attacks as the result of influence from Donald Trump.

Rapper Nicki Minaj launched a public attack against New York Governor Kathy Hochul on X, calling her an "evil woman" and a "vile wicked curse" ahead of the November 3 gubernatorial election. Minaj urged Black voters and Christians to reject Hochul in favor of Republican candidate Bruce Blakeman, citing the governor's past comments regarding children in the Bronx and a 2025 joke about liquor stores. Minaj claimed Hochul "will not escape God's wrath" and suggested the Democratic Party should forfeit her seat.

Governor Kathy Hochul responded during a campaign stop in Albany, dismissing the criticisms and suggesting Minaj "get offline a little more." Hochul claimed Minaj had been "poisoned by Donald Trump" and argued that once "MAGA world has vanished," Minaj would realize she had been fed a false vision of the country.

Republican candidate Bruce Blakeman joined the criticism, calling Hochul the "worst governor in America." The feud follows Minaj's active campaigning for Donald Trump, which included traveling on Air Force One and appearing at an October 25 rally in Port Huron, Michigan.
