Kogi Leaders Praise Tinubu and Ododo for Regional Infrastructure

Political leaders in Kogi East lauded President Bola Tinubu and Governor Usman Ododo during an inspection of World Bank and TETFund-funded infrastructure projects.

Political and community leaders in Kogi East Senatorial District commended President Bola Tinubu and Governor Usman Ododo for significant infrastructural developments across the region. The praise followed an inspection tour by the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and the Presidential Communications Team, which focused on socio-economic projects designed to reduce poverty and improve connectivity.

In Ankpa Local Government Area, the team inspected a 12-kilometre internal road and a 24-kilometre drainage network. This project was funded through the World Bank-supported Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) program, which also disbursed over $2 million to local cooperative groups. In Anyigba, officials visited Prince Abubakar Audu University to inspect a new N643 million College of Health Sciences and a N3.1 billion Senate Building, both funded by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund. The tour also included the 60-kilometre Iyale-Ogane-Enugu rural road currently under construction in Dekina Local Government Area.

Local leaders expressed strong gratitude for these interventions. Ankpa Chairman Alhaji Ademu Muhammed Yahaya described the erosion control efforts as the most impactful in the local government's history and pledged electoral support for the All Progressives Congress in 2027.
