David Umahi Urges Southeast Voters to Support President Tinubu

Minister of Works David Umahi urged residents of Southeast Nigeria to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election. During an inspection of the Cross River–Abuja Super Highway in Ebonyi State, Umahi argued that the current administration has provided unprecedented federal attention and strategic infrastructure investment to the region.

Umahi specifically encouraged voters to favor Tinubu over Peter Obi, stating that the Southeast region cannot produce a president on its own. He warned that supporting the incumbent is necessary to avoid the risk of projects being abandoned.

To illustrate the administration's commitment, Umahi highlighted the progress of the Cross River–Abuja Highway, noting that Section One is nearly complete and Section Two has been mobilized. He also cited the Enugu–Onitsha Expressway, which is expected to be finished by December with solar lighting and tolling facilities, as a primary success story for the region.
