Azerbaijan Agrees to Expand Service Center Model in Pakistan

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Ilham Aliyev agreed to expand Azerbaijan's ASAN Khidmet service model across Pakistan to strengthen economic and strategic ties.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and President Ilham Aliyev held a telephone conversation on October 10 to reaffirm the strategic partnership between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. The leaders agreed to transition their existing political ties into a more robust economic, investment, and commercial partnership.

A primary outcome of the discussion was President Aliyev's agreement to provide Azerbaijan's expertise and support to expand the Asaan Khidmat network across Pakistan. This initiative follows the successful operationalization of a service center in Islamabad modeled after Azerbaijan's ASAN Khidmet service delivery system.

During the call, President Aliyev praised the diplomatic efforts of Pakistan to facilitate mediation and de-escalation to promote regional peace and stability. The two leaders also exchanged views on various international and multilateral issues as part of their broader effort to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
