Arvind Kejriwal Organizes National Town Hall Against E20 Fuel

Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal announced a National Town Hall Against E20, scheduled for August 1, 2026, at the Constitution Club in New Delhi. The initiative seeks to mobilize public and expert support to pressure the central government to withdraw ethanol-blended petrol or make it optional, with the party citing vehicle damage and decreased fuel efficiency as primary concerns.

Kejriwal plans to deliver an online petition featuring over two lakh signatures to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence during the following week. In a press conference, he urged the Prime Minister to resolve the E20 issue to prevent the situation from escalating into a massive protest.

Beyond the fuel policy, Kejriwal criticized the government's response to student protests in Bihar and West Bengal. He questioned the effectiveness of new anti-paper leak laws, arguing that political will is more critical than strict legislation. He also described the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as a victory for the country's youth.
