Ajay Jain Bhutoria Endorses Democrats in 2026 Midterm Elections

Indian-American community leader and former Joe Biden administration adviser Ajay Jain Bhutoria endorsed the Democratic Party during the 2026 U.S. midterm elections. Bhutoria argued that a Democratic-controlled Congress is essential to combat anti-Asian hate, reverse economic instability, and stabilize the strategic partnership between the United States and India.

Bhutoria specifically condemned the policies of President Donald Trump, citing the H-1B visa crackdown, tariffs on India, and divisive rhetoric that he claims has fueled physical violence against South Asians. He projected that high turnout among the 5.2 million Indian-Americans, whom he described as a crucial swing demographic, would help secure Democratic majorities in both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

The 2026 midterms contest all 435 House seats and 35 Senate seats, which will determine the legislative balance of power for the remainder of the presidential term.
