Donald Trump Announces Kansas Rally for Senator Roger Marshall

President Donald Trump announced plans to hold a "Kansas Style Rally" to support Republican Senator Roger Marshall in his reelection bid. The announcement comes as the Cook Political Report rates the race against Democratic nominee Adam Hamilton as a toss-up. Kansas is one of 10 states Trump intends to visit in October as part of a campaign blitz before the November midterm elections.

Trump defended Marshall against allegations that he filed lawsuits resulting in the arrest of patients with medical debts, describing the claims as a "bum rap" and asserting that Marshall was mandated by law to request the funds. Trump further attacked Hamilton, a Methodist pastor, calling him a "Radical Left LUNATIC Dumocrat" and a "phony."

Tyson Brody, a spokesperson for the Hamilton campaign, responded by claiming the president's involvement indicates panic over Marshall's record regarding the war in Iran and healthcare. The Kansas GOP expressed gratitude for the planned presidential visit.
