Buba Galadima Questions Fairness of 2027 Nigerian Election

Nigeria Democratic Congress chieftain Buba Galadima expressed doubt that the 2027 presidential election will be free and fair, alleging that opposition figures have faced coordinated attacks in Enugu, Benue, and Kaduna. Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Galadima stated that only God and President Bola Tinubu know the eventual outcome of the vote.

Despite these concerns, Galadima expressed confidence in the NDC's presidential ticket featuring Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. He described the pairing as a healing ticket intended to bridge regional interests and promote national unity. As chairman of the coordinating strategic committee for the ticket, Galadima argued that the complementary strengths of Obi from Anambra and Kwankwaso from Kano would secure victory if the process remains transparent.

Galadima also used the appearance to criticize the administration of President Tinubu, specifically targeting Energy Security Expenses. He characterized these subsidy-related expenditures as fraudulent.
