JD Vance Campaigns for Anthony Constantino in New York

Vice President JD Vance and Donald Trump Jr. held a rally in Rome, New York, to support Republican congressional candidate Anthony Constantino in a tightening race.

Vice President JD Vance traveled to Rome, New York, on Monday to campaign for Republican nominee Anthony Constantino in New York's 21st Congressional District. Accompanied by Donald Trump Jr. and Secretary of Energy Chris Wright, Vance spoke at Griffiss International Airport to bolster Constantino's standing after public polling showed Democrat Blake Gendebien taking a lead in a race where Constantino previously held a double-digit advantage.

Vance praised Constantino's business record as CEO of Sticker Mule and accused Democrats of attempting to "sling mud at a good man." The event followed a video endorsement of Constantino by President Donald Trump. During the rally, which drew approximately 1,050 attendees, Constantino accused the media of ignoring an alleged trash dump on Gendebien's farm.

Democratic candidate Blake Gendebien and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee characterized the high-profile visit as a "bailout" for a "sputtering campaign." Gendebien argued that the Republican strategy ignored critical issues such as Medicaid cuts and rising diesel prices. The rally also faced protests from Indivisible Mohawk Valley, who cited concerns over hyper-partisan messaging.
