Reproductive Freedom for All Endorses Troy Jackson in Maine Senate Race
Reproductive Freedom for All endorsed Democratic nominee Troy Jackson, who is challenging Republican incumbent Susan Collins in the Maine US Senate race.
Reproductive Freedom for All has endorsed Troy Jackson, the Democratic nominee for the US Senate in Maine. Jackson, a former state senate president and logger, is challenging five-term Republican incumbent Susan Collins. The endorsement centers on Jackson's campaign to restore federal abortion rights, a position that represents a reversal from his earlier political views when he believed abortion should never be legal.
Mini Timmaraju, president of Reproductive Freedom for All, stated that flipping the Maine seat is a critical path to winning a Senate majority. Simultaneously, the Planned Parenthood Super Pac has committed more than $600,000 for advertisements targeting Collins's record, specifically her 2018 vote to confirm Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Collins has stated she does not regret that vote.
Jackson secured the Democratic nomination in July after previous candidate Graham Platner exited the race following sexual assault allegations.
