Dell Technologies reported record AI-driven revenue growth, resulting in a 196% gain for a position held in Donald Trump's investment portfolio since February.
Dell Technologies reported its highest quarterly sales in company history for Q1 FY27, driven by a strategic pivot toward high-performance AI infrastructure. Overall revenue increased 88% year over year, with AI-optimized server revenue surging 757% to $16.1 billion. This figure surpassed the $14.6 billion generated by the company's Client Solutions Group. Dell currently holds a record AI backlog of $51.3 billion and projects AI-optimized server revenue growth of approximately 144% for fiscal 2027.
Financial disclosure filings released by the US Office of Government Ethics reveal that this growth has significantly benefited a position in Donald Trump's stock portfolio. Shares of the company have gained 196% since the position was initiated in February.
The Trump Organization stated that these investments are managed by third-party financial institutions with sole discretionary authority, distancing the former president from the direct management of the holdings.
