In Yemen, the central bank froze the assets of 135 individuals, entities, and vessels linked to the Houthis following a public prosecutor's order. This financial crackdown coincides with a draft law approved by Yemen's internationally recognized government to designate the Houthis as a terrorist organization. European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas announced that the EU is exploring ways to increase support for the Yemeni government.

Regarding broader regional tensions, White House Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly stated the United States does not plan to attack Iran before the November midterm elections. This statement follows claims from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding support for removing Iran's leadership. President Donald Trump has reportedly described Iran as being in a severely weakened economic and military state and has explicitly ruled out the use of ground troops or nuclear weapons against the country.
