U.S. Strikes Iran for 13th Night as Tehran Hits Bases

The United States Central Command conducted airstrikes across Iran on July 24, 2026, marking the 13th consecutive night of operations. U.S. forces targeted naval assets, drone sites, command centers, coastal surveillance sites, and telecommunications towers to protect commercial vessels and civilian mariners in the Strait of Hormuz. Strikes hit the port city of Jask, Khorramabad near the Iraqi border, and the southwestern city of Ahvaz.

In Ahvaz, a missile strike on the outskirts of the city killed four Iranian citizens and injured five others, according to the governor's office of Khuzestan Province. Iranian officials condemned the attacks as violations of international law and sovereignty.

In response, the Military of Iran launched "Arash" attack drones against U.S. military facilities in Bahrain and Jordan. The drones targeted fuel tanks, warehouses, and accommodation facilities at the Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain, as well as aircraft hangars and maintenance facilities at the Al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan. The Bahraini Interior Ministry issued warning sirens shortly before the Iranian announcement. U.S., Bahraini, and Jordanian authorities have not yet confirmed casualties or damage resulting from the drone strikes.
