Trump Cancels Iran Strikes Amid Critical Munitions Shortages

After five months of war with Iran that began on February 28, 2026, Donald Trump canceled a massive strike campaign planned for August 2-3. The decision followed warnings from military commanders, including Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Dan Caine, that weapon stockpiles had reached dangerously low levels.
