Accord Party Chairman Questions Governor Adeleke's Campaign Role
Oladele Oladeji seeks clarification from Accord party leadership over Governor Ademola Adeleke's reported appointment to President Bola Tinubu's 2027 presidential campaign.
The Lagos State Chairman of the Accord party, Oladele Oladeji, is seeking clarification from the party's national leadership regarding Governor Ademola Adeleke's reported appointment as the coordinator for President Bola Tinubu's 2027 presidential campaign in Osun State.
In an open letter sent Saturday, Oladeji questioned the political allegiance of Governor Adeleke, who was elected on the Accord platform. He argued that while the governor has the right to make personal political decisions, such actions impact the political identity, national ambitions, and electoral prospects of Accord's candidates.
Oladeji urged party leadership to define its political direction and ensure that the terms and consequences of any cooperation with President Tinubu's campaign are transparent to party members and the public.
