Kemi Badenoch Plans Conservative Shadow Cabinet Reshuffle

Kemi Badenoch is preparing a reshuffle of the Conservative shadow cabinet before the party's annual conference in Birmingham this October. The reorganization follows several vacancies, including Helen Grant's decision to stand down at the next general election and Claire Coutinho's upcoming maternity leave. Julia Lopez also requires a new assignment after Andy Burnham abolished the Science Secretary position.

While senior roles are expected to remain stable, Katie Lam and Harriet Cross are tipped for more prominent positions. During a meeting in Rome, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni advised Badenoch to maintain her political position, telling her to "be your own woman and stand your ground".

Badenoch continues to reject potential alliances with Nigel Farage and Reform UK, describing the idea of forming such deals as "monstrous".
