Republican candidate Michael Bouchard won the GOP primary for Michigan's 10th Congressional District on Tuesday evening. A Bronze Star veteran and political newcomer, Bouchard secured the party nomination with endorsements from Donald Trump and House Speaker Mike Johnson.
Bouchard is running to fill the seat vacated by Representative John James, who departed the congressional race to pursue a bid for governor of Michigan. Bouchard's platform centers on increasing parental involvement in education, fostering American manufacturing, and completing the southern border wall.
He will advance to the general election on November 3.
