Elon Musk Pledges $120 Million for GOP Midterm Support

Billionaire Elon Musk intends to spend between $100 million and $120 million to support Republican candidates in the upcoming midterm elections. Operating through his super PAC, America PAC, Musk will fund get-out-the-vote initiatives including digital advertising, direct mail, and door-knocking to mobilize the conservative base.

The financial strategy targets Senate races in Alaska, Ohio, Iowa, Maine, and Michigan, with potential expansions into Texas, Georgia, and North Carolina. Musk is also considering support for House races in California, Wisconsin, and Washington.

This commitment follows a reconciliation between Musk and President Donald Trump after policy disagreements led to the dissolution of the Department of Government Efficiency, which Musk formerly led. The decision reverses previous suggestions that Musk would scale back his political involvement following a $250 million contribution during the 2024 election cycle. While his political activity previously contributed to a decline in global Tesla sales, the company has since seen a rebound, specifically with the Model Y.
