Trump Pressures Former Lawyer Over $50 Million Contract

Donald Trump demanded that former lawyer Alina Habba Mildon donate earnings from a $50 million contract linked to a pardoned billionaire to his presidential library.

Donald Trump expressed anger after learning that his former lawyer, Alina Habba Mildon, secured a contract worth over $50 million to serve as general counsel for Concord Partners. The company is owned by the daughter of billionaire Julio Herrera Velutini.

The contract guarantees $10 million annually for four years plus bonuses. Mildon signed the agreement while serving as an adviser at the Justice Department. Shortly after she began her work for the family, Trump granted Herrera a full and unconditional pardon in January 2026 for a misdemeanor campaign finance violation.

Trump told allies that Mildon should donate a portion of the funds to his future presidential library in Miami or another Trump-related entity. He further suggested that the Herrera family should not pay the remaining balance of the contract.
