Erdoğan Marks 103rd Republic Day at Atatürk Mausoleum
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in Ankara to commemorate the 103rd anniversary of the Turkish Republic.
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan marked the 103rd anniversary of the Turkish Republic on October 29 by visiting the Anıtkabir mausoleum in Ankara. Accompanied by senior state officials, the president walked the Lion Road and laid a wreath at the tomb of the republic's founder, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
During the visit, Erdoğan paid tribute to Atatürk and the individuals who died during the founding of the republic. In a message written in the mausoleum's memorial book, he pledged to continue working with determination to achieve his Century of Türkiye vision.
Erdoğan framed this vision as a national cause inspired by Atatürk's 1922 address to parliament, which asserted that no force could deter the nation from its cause.
