Xi Jinping and Abdel Fattah El-Sisi Visit Grand Egyptian Museum
President Xi Jinping and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi toured the Grand Egyptian Museum to promote mutual learning and the Global Civilization Initiative.
Xi Jinping, President of China, and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt visited the Grand Egyptian Museum on September 2. Accompanied by their spouses, the leaders toured the Tutankhamun Galleries to view royal artifacts, including the golden mask and royal chariot.
During the visit, Xi advocated for the Global Civilization Initiative, emphasizing the historical connections between Chinese and Egyptian civilizations to promote inclusiveness and mutual learning. El-Sisi expressed support for the initiative, stating that the characteristics of both ancient civilizations align with its vision.
El-Sisi pledged to pursue closer people-to-people exchanges between the two nations to foster a more harmonious and inclusive global environment.
