Iran Sets Seven Conditions for U.S. Negotiations
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated that diplomatic progress with the United States requires agreement on seven conditions, including the release of $12 billion in frozen assets.
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated that progress in negotiations with the United States depends on the agreement of seven specific conditions. These demands, largely based on a June 17 agreement, include a permanent halt to military operations against Iran and its allies in Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq, and the Palestinian territories.
Iran is demanding the release of approximately $12 billion in frozen assets, the lifting of the U.S. naval blockade, and the removal of all economic and political sanctions. Additional requirements include the withdrawal of U.S. naval and air forces from the region, payment of war reparations for conflicts occurring in 2025 and 2026, and an end to hostile interference.
The United States has responded by demanding that Iran take action regarding its nuclear file as a prerequisite for addressing these seven conditions.
