Trump Uses Taxpayer Funds for Iran War Advertisement
President Donald Trump used government funds to air a promotional advertisement on Fox News celebrating the U.S. military conflict with Iran.
President Donald Trump used taxpayer funds to produce and air a one-minute promotional advertisement celebrating his decision to go to war with Iran. The spot, which aired on Fox News on Wednesday, utilizes combat footage and AI-generated imagery to frame the conflict.
The advertisement features audio from a February 28 statement in which Trump warned that "no one should challenge the strength and might of the United States Armed Forces." It also includes commentary from Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, who stated that the U.S. would hunt down those who threaten Americans "without apology and without hesitation."
The ad concludes with Trump calling for the people of Iran to take over their government, telling them that "the hour of your freedom is at hand." The content was posted by Medium Buying, a firm that purchases airtime for Republican candidates, though the spot carried a "Paid for by the US Government" disclaimer.
