Donald Trump Offers Press Secretary Role to Katie Zacharia
President Donald Trump has offered the White House press secretary position to conservative commentator and lawyer Katie Zacharia.
Donald Trump has offered the position of White House press secretary to Katie Zacharia, a conservative commentator and lawyer. Zacharia currently serves as a communications adviser to Trump Media & Technology Group, the parent company of Truth Social, and is the general counsel at Fix California, a conservative activist group.
Zacharia previously served as a spokeswoman for the Department of Homeland Security under Secretary Kristi Noem. If she accepts the appointment, she will succeed Karoline Leavitt, who left the administration in late August to join Fox News as a contributor.
The offer comes during a period of contentious relations between the administration and the White House press corps.
