Political Figures Predict Tinubu Loss in 2027 Election

Phrank Shaibu and Primate Elijah Ayodele predict President Bola Tinubu may lose the 2027 election due to economic hardship and potential runoff scenarios.

Political aides and religious leaders are predicting a potential defeat for Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election. Phrank Shaibu, a communication aide to former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, stated that widespread hunger and poverty under the current administration will drive dissatisfied Nigerians to vote for Abubakar. Shaibu claimed that President Tinubu and his cabinet are aware of their failures and criticized Minister of Works David Umahi for planning to hire 4,000 social media influencers to publicize government projects, arguing that genuine impact does not require such promotion.

Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, also warned that President Tinubu could lose if the contest proceeds to a runoff. Ayodele outlined three possible outcomes: a runoff resulting in Tinubu's defeat, a state of emergency that prevents a result, or a need for spiritual intervention. While noting that Atiku Abubakar currently holds a slight advantage, Ayodele cautioned that Abubakar's own decisions could undermine his chances, potentially allowing Tinubu to secure victory. The cleric further suggested that Vice-President Kashim Shettima might be removed from office and warned that insisting on a second term could lead to casualties.
