ADC Urges Nigerians to Reject APC in 2027 Elections
The African Democratic Congress called on Nigerians to emulate American voters by rejecting the ruling APC in 2027 to end economic hardship and insecurity.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has called on Nigerian citizens to reject the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections. In statements issued on November 4 and 5, 2026, the party urged voters to emulate the American electorate following U.S. midterm elections where Democrats won control of both chambers of Congress.
National Publicity Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi argued that the U.S. results demonstrate that the ballot box is the ultimate tool for holding arrogant leaders accountable. The ADC accused the administration of President Bola Tinubu of causing unprecedented economic hardship and worsening insecurity, claiming the government has made life unaffordable for ordinary citizens.
Positioning itself as a viable alternative, the ADC unveiled a campaign platform focused on job creation and making Nigeria safe and affordable again. The party urged Nigerians to prioritize their own welfare over political loyalties or personality cults, calling on citizens to use their Permanent Voter Cards to demand a change in government.
