MP Manoj Jha joined opposition parties in New Delhi to protest alleged Election Commission irregularities during Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary.
Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Manoj Jha joined opposition parties and citizens in a protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on October 2, coinciding with Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary. The demonstration targeted the Election Commission of India over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision and the handling of Form 8.
Jha accused the commission of committing systematic illegalities, asserting that recent course corrections by the body serve as a confession of previous errors. He further criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, claiming the government has abandoned the ideals of Gandhi.
During the protest, Jha questioned the closure of metro services and other police restrictions imposed in the capital. He alleged that the actions of the Election Commission were influenced by external pressures.
