Nyesom Wike Pledges Rivers State Votes for Tinubu in 2027
Minister Nyesom Wike pledged to deliver Rivers State and the Federal Capital Territory for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike declared that the Rainbow Coalition will secure victory for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections. Speaking to the Rivers Rainbow Coalition Youths in Port Harcourt on October 21, 2026, Wike pledged to deliver massive votes from both the Federal Capital Territory and Rivers State.
Wike justified this support by citing the administration's infrastructure projects and the appointment of 49 Rivers State indigenes to federal positions. He criticized opposition figures Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, describing Abubakar as untrustworthy and Obi as a "fake man."
During the event, All Progressives Congress governorship candidate Kingsley Chinda promised a youth-inclusive government. Chinda pledged to implement compulsory bursary payments and expand technical education to mobilize young voters for the coalition.
