Donald Trump Raises $800 Million from Corporate Donors

President Donald Trump has raised over $800 million for personal and political projects via corporate donations directed by fundraiser Meredith O’Rourke.

Donald Trump has raised more than $800 million for political and personal projects during the first 18 months of his second term. The president manages these efforts through nearly nightly calls with top fundraiser Meredith O’Rourke, who targets major corporations for multimillion-dollar contributions using direct requests from the president to pressure donors.

Corporate contributions include $50 million from SoftBank Group for a presidential library and $25 million from Apple for a White House ballroom project. Additional funds were provided by Meta, Microsoft, and Amazon to a Trump-aligned super PAC. In a related move, Trump Media and Technology recently appointed O’Rourke as a director.

Critics have characterized the operation as a transaction tax or a wholesale money trough. Spokeswoman Danielle Alvarez defended the fundraising, stating that the money supports private-sector initiatives and Republican midterm wins, while asserting that the president cannot be bought.
