India's semiconductor industry has raised $1.4 billion in cumulative equity funding, with Bengaluru emerging as the primary hub ahead of SEMICON India 2026.

India's semiconductor sector has secured $1.4 billion in cumulative equity funding across 281 companies, according to data from Tracxn. The industry has seen rapid acceleration, with annual funding growing from $49 million in 2021 to $473 million in 2025, representing a compound annual growth rate of over 36%. Approximately $701 million of the total funding has been raised since 2025.

Electronic Manufacturing Services is the most funded business model, securing $313 million since 2025. Tessolve Semiconductor leads the sector in cumulative funding at $213 million, followed by IL Jin Electronics (India) Private Limited at $198 million and E-Con Infotech Private Limited at $129 million. The report indicates that companies in the sector prefer acquisitions as an exit route over initial public offerings.

Bengaluru serves as the primary industry hub, hosting 626 companies and accounting for 40.1% of all equity funding. Other significant regional hubs include Noida, Gurugram, Kochi, and Hyderabad. These financial trends precede SEMICON India 2026, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate on September 17 at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi to further develop the national semiconductor ecosystem.
