Trump Administration Expels Nearly One Million People by July 2026
The Trump administration has deported nearly one million people through July 2026, with data showing most lacked criminal convictions.
The second administration of Donald Trump expelled approximately 980,000 people through July 2026, according to an analysis by former Department of Homeland Security chief statistician Marc Rosenblum. The data reveals that only 20% of those deported had criminal convictions, many of which were minor traffic or immigration infractions.
Of the total removals, 680,000 occurred at the U.S.-Mexico border, while 300,000 individuals were arrested within the United States. Rosenblum noted that the figures do not suggest the administration is focusing on the most dangerous individuals.
Border czar Tom Homan confirmed that mass deportations are occurring and claimed the government has arrested more people than at any other time in national history. Homan predicted that September 2026 would mark the highest monthly deportation volume in the history of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, stating that further increases are expected in 2027.
